The hulls of cloud cruisers appear much like a water going ship, with a long body and keel, designed to cut through the air. Many older cloud cruisers are constructed of wood, though newer, more expensive models use lightweight metals and ceramics. This is especially true of ships designed for combat. Most cloud cruisers have an open deck on top, though some warships forego a top deck, preferring to be fully enclosed.
